01 · The challenge

What was broken, what was at stake

Clinical reference for ESRD medications lived in paper guides and scattered PDFs. Nurses making bedside decisions needed something at their fingertips that was fast to search, offline-capable, and unambiguous enough for a regulated clinical context.

02 · The approach

How we thought about it

We scoped the app tightly as a reference tool — not a prescribing system, not a drug-interaction engine. That kept regulatory overhead proportionate and let the interface stay fast. Offline access ensured it worked in hospital areas where connectivity is unreliable.

03 · What we built

The actual solution

A mobile app on iOS and Android delivering structured medication information with fast search, clear categorisation, and offline availability. Content managed by DaVita's clinical team so updates flowed without new app releases.

04 · The results

What shipped, what changed

Nurses and clinicians carried a curated, offline-capable ESRD medication reference on their own devices — a significant upgrade from paper guides.
