01 · The challenge

What was broken, what was at stake

Users had menus, reviews, events, deals and happy-hour info scattered across five different apps. Venues, in turn, had to publish to each of those separately. LocalView wanted to be the single place for "what's around me tonight", with deal economics that worked for restaurants.

02 · The approach

How we thought about it

Two customer problems, one platform. On the consumer side, unify discovery across categories. On the venue side, offer tiered listings with billing and analytics so restaurants could justify their spend. Geo-locked redemption made deals meaningful only to customers physically present — preventing coupon arbitrage.

03 · What we built

The actual solution

A mobile app for consumers backed by a venue-side admin panel. Five integrations (Yelp, OpenTable, Eventful, SinglePlatform, Factual) unified the data. Consumer features: menus, hours, directions, deals, events, photo streams, ratings. Venue features: listing management, deal publishing with geo-fencing, analytics, and Authorize.net billing for premium tiers.

04 · The results

What shipped, what changed
